Description

Pinole is a traditional Mexican semi-finished product. It is roasted or unroasted ground corn mixed with roasted cocoa, sugar, and cinnamon. Western audiences were introduced to McDouglas' bestseller Born To Run. While this is not a very tasty mix, there must be a reason why the Rarámuri runners, who are considered the best long-distance runners in the world, have been using it for centuries. Supposedly, the balance of nutrients and its digestion gives good results.
