The MCP23017 chip operates over high-speed IIC interfaces, supporting frequencies of 100KHz, 400KHz, and 1.7MHz. Equipped with 3 address pins, the chip can be set to 8 different addresses, allowing up to 8 modules to be connected via two IIC buses.
