Working Voltage: DC 3V-5V The SSM2167 is a low-voltage, low-noise mono microphone preamplifier ideal for low-power audio signal chains. This preamplifier includes built-in compression and a noise gate, which provides better performance compared to using a standard op-amp in the preamplifier circuit. The dynamic range compression reduces peak signal levels while adding additional gain to low-level signals. The noise gate attenuates signals below a certain threshold, allowing only the desired signal, such as speech, to be amplified and reducing background noise in the output.
