Pulmonaria Raspberry Splash \nAlso known as Lungwort. \nA low growing, mound forming, semi-evergreen perennial with narrow pointed leaves heavily marked or spotted with silver. \nThe clusters of small bell-shaped flowers emerge rich raspberry red in spring but turn purplish and finally blue as they mature. \nThis gives Raspberry Splash a wonderful multicoloured appearance and is very, very decorative. \nFlowering from March to May Lungwort has long been a favourite in the cottage garden. \nAlso great for those difficult to fill partially or fully shaded spots. \nPulmonaria prefers a humus-rich but well drained soil and is fully hardy. \nAny plants that are affected by mildew should be cut back to the ground, watered and fed and they will readily produce new foliage. \nLarge, overgrown clumps of Pulmonaria should be lifted and divided in autumn but this should only be needed every 4-5 years. \nAll pictures used are of mature plants in full bloom, they are for illustration purposes only and may not necessarily reflect plants at all times of the year. \nOur plants of Lungwort are supplied ex. 9cm pots, they can be planted out immediately but better results may be obtained if they are grown on for a short time in a slightly larger container before transplanting to their final growing positions. \nFor some hints and tips Plant Speak have a great little on this plant. \nPACK 1 PLANT \nIMMEDIATE \n \nOur wide and varied range of Perennials can be view here. \nPlease remember, plant maintenance within our nursery is absolutely essential and means we need to prune back some items at certain times of the year to help maintain shape and encourage new growth. \nWe ask all our buyers to remember Pulmonaria Raspberry Splash is a living item and its appearance changes with the seasons.  Please don’t panic if the plant you receive looks different to the image on the website.
