The Ethernet Controller I210 (I210) is a single-port, compact, low-power component supporting GbE designs. The I210 provides a fully integrated GbE media access control (MAC), physical layer (PHY) port and an SGMII/SerDes port that can connect to an external PHY. I210 supports PCI Express* [PCIe v2.1 (2.5GT/s)]. The I210 implements 1000BASE-T using an integrated PHY. It can be used in server system configurations such as rack-mount or pedestal servers, in an add-on network card or LAN motherboard (LOM) design.
