The AD9833 is a low power programmable generator capable of generating sine, triangle, and square wave outputs suitable for waveform detection and testing applications requiring uniform output frequency and phase. Being software programmable and easily adjustable, no external components are necessary. The frequency register is 28 bits wide: the clock frequency is 25 MHz, enabling 0.1Hz resolution; the AD9833 is clocked at 1 MHz, and can be tuned to 0.004Hz resolution. The AD9833 has a standard serial interface that allows the device to interface directly with different microprocessors. The device uses an external serial clock to write data or information to the control device.
