Heat-Resistant Sourdough Starter Jar Kit

This sourdough starter jar kit features a 900 ml premium glass vessel (10 cm diameter × 15 cm height), engineered for thermal resilience up to 150 ℃. Constructed with food-safe materials — including solid wood for the lid, natural cotton linen for the cloth cover, medical-grade silicone for the spatula, and recyclable paper for labels — every component serves a verified functional purpose. The integrated thermometer strip adheres securely to the exterior for real-time ambient temperature monitoring during proofing or bulk fermentation. The label sheet and fine-tip pen support precise batch logging, while the strong rubber band ensures consistent cloth tension for optimal airflow control. Two validated storage methods are supported: refrigerated storage uses the snug-fitting wooden lid to limit oxygen exposure and extend freshness — suitable not only for sourdough starter but also for dry goods like grains, nuts, or preserved items. For active fermentation, the breathable cloth cover — held firmly by the elastic band — enables CO₂ release and oxygen exchange without dust or insect ingress, supporting robust microbial development. The wide-mouth aperture simplifies all stages: adding ingredients, stirring with the included flexible silicone spatula, scraping down sides, and rinsing thoroughly post-use. Sterilisation follows strict thermal protocols — submerge the room-temperature jar in cold water, boil gently for 5 minutes, then cool fully before reuse. Steam sterilisers are also compatible. Avoid direct boiling-water immersion or rapid temperature transitions to preserve structural integrity.
